Our Mission

Tufts University's Center for STEM Diversity works in partnership with the School of Engineering and the School of Arts and Sciences to foster a diverse and inclusive science and engineering learning environment. We help coordinate all of the efforts in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields, and serve as an umbrella organization for the various diversity programs and clubs on campus.

Upcoming Event

Tufts will be hosting the GEM GRAD Lab on October 23 – 24 in Alumnae Lounge. The GEM GRAD Lab offers underrepresented students exposure to the benefits of research and technology careers. This symposium covers the basics of how to successfully navigate the graduate school process: from securing the competitive GEM Fellowship to obtaining a graduate degree.

The Class of 2019 Bridge to Engineering Success at Tufts (BEST) Scholars are continuing to acclimate to Tufts after spending a packed six weeks here over the summer! The BEST Scholars took both Calculus I and Physics 11 in addition to attending academic and professional development workshops throughout the weeks.
